The congress is jointly organized by the National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCB) in collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Delhi) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras).
The Pre-congress courses will be held at IIT Delhi from 16th – 17th October 2027.
The theme of ICCC 2027 is “Achieving Sustainability and Carbon Neutrality in Cement and Concrete”.
About ICCC
The International Congress on the Chemistry of Cement is the largest and most prestigious global forum for cement and concrete research. Since its inception in 1918, it has been held every 4–6 years, connecting academia, research institutions and the cement industry worldwide. India last hosted ICCC in 1992 (9th ICCC, New Delhi), and the 16th ICCC was held in Bangkok, Thailand in 2023.
Why India?
India is the world’s second-largest cement producer, with a capacity of ~700 million tonnes, and is recognized for having one of the lowest CO₂ footprints and highest energy efficiency globally. As the fourth-largest economy (projected to be third within five years), India is experiencing unprecedented infrastructure growth, making it the perfect stage to showcase innovations in decarbonisation, low-carbon cements, sustainable construction, circular economy and resource efficiency, alternative fuels and energy efficiency, durability and performance of concrete.
